Llano County Clay Buster will host a sporting clays shoot this Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 24.
Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. The cost of the 50 bird shoot is $45 and includes a meal of ribs, sausage, sides and desserts.
Scoring for the shoot will be Lewis class, which gives even beginners the chance to win. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at this shooting sport, this weekend will be a great place to start.
The club, which has hosted many benefits in the past, is hoping to increase its ranks with new members. Help will be available for basic instruction if needed to get you started, but you must provide your own gun and shells.
Sporting clays is a great sport for family members to enjoy together. The club is located 3.5 miles north of Llano on the west side of Highway 16. For more information, contact Debbie Ratliff at 247-5428 or Sandra Overstreet at 247-5017.
