Donald B. Jackson, 74, of Buchanan Dam, passed away on May 26. Mr. Jackson was born in Menard, to Benny Bevin and Tina (Watson) Jackson on April 21, 1934.

Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois Jackson; and grandson, Jimmy Ayers.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda Brashears of Tennessee, and Laura Nelson, of Georgetown; his son, Jerry Brandley, of Tennessee; his four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildre; his two sisters, Joyce Dobler, of Scottsdale, Ariz., Linda Sue Schririer, of Austin; and his brother, Ricky Jackson, of Pflugerville.

Mr. Jackson proudly served his country in both the U.S. Army and the Marines. He married Lois Ware on Sept. 5, 1964 in Menard. Mr. Jackson made his career in aviation electronics and was a pilot for over 50 years. He was a member of the Kingsland Masonic Lodge, the Hamm Operator Club, a gun collector, and a champion bench shooter.

Graveside services were held Friday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Menard.
