The Hill Country Children’s Theater (HCCT) announced tickets are now on sale for its fourteenth stage production, “Bobby Sox.”
This original, two-act-show will bring the “fifties” into the Hill Country.
“Bobby Sox will be a very special show,” Scott Jones, HCCT’s executive director explained. “It is our first show with singing parts, and the whole show will feature many new aspects for our theater.”
“Bobby Sox” will go to stage on June 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, July 4, 5 and 6. Performances are at 7:30 p.m., and at 3:30 p.m. on Sundays and July 4.
“We are excited about our Fourth of July matinee,” Jones explained, “Everyone can come see a great show, and still have time for bar-b-que and fireworks.”
Tickets are available at KVHC studios during regular business hours. You can also purchase tickets from one of the cast members. More ticket information can be obtained by contacting the theater’s office.
Will-Call tickets can be ordered up to four hours before a performance by contacting the theater. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Military personnel, Schreiner students and children under six are free. Special discounts for law enforcement, EMS/fire and groups are also available.
Dozens of area children and adults are involved in this production, representing over eight hill country communities. The show will feature original lyrics set to popular songs from the fifties.
“It is wonderful to have First Presbyterian Church, Schreiner University and the Salvation Army as our sponsors for this show,” Jones stated.
Jones went on to announce that HCCT’s next show is scheduled to be “Princess and the Pea.” This show will feature an original script, choreographed battle scenes and a dancing scene.
Persons interested in registering for the next show can do so during any of the performances or by contacting the theater. Only the first 60 children who sign-up will be able to join the cast.
