Jolea Fleming Miller, 90, passed away at her home in Grand Prairie on June 14. She was born June 24, 1917, in Kirbyville, to the late Walter Collins Fleming and Clara Lula Watt Fleming.
Jolea was proceeded in death by her husband, Bill Miller; her daughter-in-law, Serena Miller; and her brother, W.C. “Nubbin” Fleming, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Miller and his wife, Gene, of Llano, and Bob and his wife, Sue, of Grand Prairie; her beloved and adored grandchildren Kaylea, Kristi, Bill, Mark, Blake, and Matt; her precious great-grandchildren, Kylie, Campbell, Madison, Maggie, Andrew, Parker, Brady, and Shelby; her sister, Gertrude Fleming Stanfield; and sisters-in-law, Cleora Fleming, and Priscilla Miller.
Jolea married Bill Miller on July 18, 1940, in Trinidad. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Trinidad.
A funeral service in celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 16 at the First United Methodist Church of Trinidad. She was laid to rest in the Trinidad Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, of Athens.
Pallbearers were grandson, Bill Mark Miller, Blake Miller, and Matt Miller, and grandsons-in-law, Jeff Schultz, and Jason Pritchard.
Honorary pallbearers were her nephews, Tommy Stanfield, Ray Stanfield, Roy Stanfield, Terry Fleming, and Gary Fleming.
