Llano County 4-H members represented their county and clubs very well. Eighteen 4-H members participated in State 4-H Roundup held at College Station, on June 10-12 in which they competed against teams in various contests from all over Texas.
The Range and Pasture Grass ID team won first place. Team members were Geoffrey Sanders who was the second high individual, Wes Regmund, Alex Homesley, and Dustin Merkel and their coach was John Regmund.
The Meats team had two teams qualify for the State contest. Team One won second place, with members Trey Brooks who was fourth high individual, Chelsea Montgomery who was seventh high individual, Walker Woolman, and Monica Bigger.
Team Two placed seventh in the contest with Cassidy Rabb, Blair Schorck, and Taylor Osbourn as team members. Joe Dan Tarter coached the Meats teams.
The Range Evaluation team placed seventh in their contest. Aaron Perkins, Dakota Vollmar, and Sterling Jameson were the team members and John Regmund coached.
The Nutrition Quiz Bowl team placed fourth with Amy Center, Jessica Smarr, Audrey Sanders, and Woody Brynes as team members and Marilyn Hale was the coach.
