Carolyn Marie Hood, 69, of Kingsland, passed away June 28, in Llano. She was born May 31, 1939, in Pampa, to Eugene and Anna Belle (Wallin) Bogue.

She married M.D. Hood on June 1, 1958, in Pampa and he preceded her in death in 1995. She is also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roy Lee Bogue.

Mrs. Hood is survived by three sons, Raymond Hood and his wife, Christine, of Temple, Daryl Hood and his wife, Jackie, of Kingsland, and Larry Hood and his wife, Stephanie, of Aransas Pass. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and current spouse, Ray Cowan, of Kingsland.

She had been a resident of Kingsland since 1994. Mrs. Hood was a homemaker, a member of the First Christian Church in Pampa, and former member of the Harvester Volleyball Team.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday, July 1, at 10 a.m. at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Kingsland with the Rev. Tommie Beck officiating.

Graveside services followed at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet County. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Zach Hood, Michael Hood, Robert Rapstine, Bill Cowan, Mike Glover, and Joe Patino. Honorary pallbearers were Aaron Cowan, Jason Giddens, and Dylan Hood.

The family has requested that Memorial Contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Texas Home Health in Marble Falls.
