Kassie Mae Zavadil Turner, 16, of Llano since June 2007, coming from Fredericksburg, passed away Tuesday, July 8, in Llano County. She was born on Oct. 31, 1991, to Connie Lois Allen and Kenneth Wayne Zavadil, Sr. in LaGrange.

Kassie is survived by her mother, Connie Turner and step-dad, Walt, of Llano; her father, Kenneth Wayne Zavadil, Sr., of Pasadena; her sisters, Karie Miller and husband, Kasey, of Llano, Vicki Widner and husband, Cody, of Houston; her brothers, Brooks Turner and wife, Karen, of Austin, Gary (Bubba) Cox and wife, Tamara, of Llano, Kenneth Wayne Zavadil, Jr., of Pasadena; her grandmother, Dorothy Zavadil, of Pasadena; her grandfather, Walter Turner, Jr., of Llano; her niece, Kaitlyn Turner; and her nephews, Max Turner, Hank Turner, and Dusty Miller.

Kassie was a Junior at Llano High School, a member of the LHS Band and LHS Girls Basketball Team and was going on to the Varsity team this year. She was a former student at Fredericksburg before moving to Llano. Kassie attended Lutie Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church in Llano and the First Assembly of God in Marble Falls.

A funeral service was held Saturday, July 12, at the Llano High School Auditorium at 11 a.m. with interment following at the Llano City Cemetery. Officiating were the Rev. Justin Bauer, the Rev. Travis Campbell, the Rev. James Sanderson, and the Rev. Ricky Allen.

Pallbearers were Gary (Bubba) Cox, Brooks Turner, Kasey Miller, Cody Widner, Rusty Allen, David Allen, and Zachery Allen. Honorary pallbearers were her many friends at Llano High School and former classmates at Fredericksburg High School.

Memorials may be made to the Methodist Youth Group at Lutie Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church.
