Clifford Buster, 55, of Gatesville, died Wednesday, July 9, at a Temple hospital. He was born on Aug. 6, 1952, in Burnet, and grew up in Llano.

Mr. Buster was preceded in death by an infant son, Clifford Eugene Buster, Jr. in 1970; a brother, Biddy Buster in 2000; and a grandson, Joseph Stewart in 1999.

Mr. Buster is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beth Buster, of Gatesville; his daughter, Valerie Stewart and husband, Joey, of Kingsland; his sons, John Buster and wife, Sandra, and Josh Buster and wife, Lupe, both of Gatesville; his sisters, Mary Glenn and husband, Gene, and Carol Brown and husband, James, both of Kingsland; his brother, Jesse Buster and wife, Gloria, of Hamilton; and six grandchildren, Nathaniel Stewart, Nikki Johnson and husband, Brent, John Wesley, Jr., Summer, Joshua Jr. and Christopher Buster.

Mr. Buster married Beth Myers on Nov. 30, 1969, and resided in Llano until he and his wife moved to Gatesville in 1990. During his working career, he worked in granite quarries running heavy equipment and he also worked at service stations. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Funeral services were scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Gatesville Funeral Home Chapel with Brother A.C. Painter officiating. Burial followed at 2 p.m. at the Tow Cemetery in Llano. The family received visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the funeral home.
