Potential students planning on entering a Texas public college or university can take the THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) Quick Test on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with sign-in at 8:30 a.m.

It will be held at the Frank Fickett Educational Center, 806 Steve Hawkins Parkway, Marble Falls, located off of Highway 281 South in the Gateway area.

Texas Tech University at Highland Lakes is offering the test as a convenience for area students. “Quick” means the test is not one of the regularly scheduled dates for test administration.

Students can pre-register for the test by calling Texas Tech University at Highland Lakes, (830) 798-9548, by e-mail to barbara.warden@ttu.edu, or coming by the Fickett Center.

Bring a check for $29 made out to NES and $25 cash to pay for the test and its administration.

Pre-registration by phone (830-798-9548) is preferred but registration and payment on the day of the test is acceptable if space allows.

Check the following Web site for more information and testing center rules: www.thea.nesinc.com.
