Texas AgriLife Extension Service’s annual Silver Clover Recognition Banquet celebrated its 41st year Aug. 14 with a banquet at the Zentner’s Daughter Steak House in San Angelo. This year’s event recognized 29 individuals who are instrumental to the success of District 7’s 4-H youth program.
Wayne Homesley, of Llano County, was among those receiving the Silver Clover Award. Mr. Homesley was recognized for his strong support of the 4-H program in Llano County and his dedication as a 4-H goat project leader.
Also attending the banquet were LaKay Homesley, wife of the honoree, and Extension agents Marilyn Hale and Jamie Osbourn.
The honorees were selected by a committee comprised of electric cooperative personnel and AgriLife Extension officials.
The banquet is sponsored by the rural electric cooperatives serving the area covered by the 23 counties in AgriLife Extension’s District 7, West Central Texas.
