Denise Jacob Garrett, 53, passed away Sept. 23. She was born in Berkeley, Calif. on Jan. 11, 1955, to Staton “Jake” and Maxine “Rusty” Jacob. She grew up in Deer Park, and retired to Highland Haven.

Ms. Garrett was preceded in death by her loving mother, Rusty Jacob; and her two beloved dogs, Niki and Rocky.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ray Garrett, who saw her as an amazing women and beautiful wife; her father, Jake Jacob; her stepson, Mark Garrett and wife, Marisol, and their son, Travis; her stepdaughter, Melanie Bruce, and husband, Tim; her brother Kevin Jacob and wife, Michelle, and their three children, Bradley, Wesley, and Victoria; her sister Rene’ Jacob and her three children, Rachel Boone, Jacob and Travis Stieb; her brother Garth Jacob and wife, Stephanie, and their four children, Justin and wife, Courtney, Logan, Carson and Savannah Joslin and husband, Brandon, and their daughter Mackenzie.

Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, at Putnam Funeral Home in Kingsland.
