William H. “Billy” Hicks, 79, of San Antonio, passed away Saturday, Sept. 27.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. O. E. Hicks and Maud Moss Hicks; and his brother, Robert Moss Hicks.

Mr. Hicks is survived by three first cousins, Helen Miles, Marjorie Hardy, and June Gueringer, all of San Antonio.

He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Trinity University. He was a Methodist and a member of Alamo Masonic Lodge #44, A.F. & A. M. Mr. Hicks spent his life as a cattle rancher in Llano County.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. in San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd., in San Antonio, with the Rev. Jon Lowry officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be sent to The Alzheimer’s Association, 7400 Louis Pasteur Ste. 200, San Antonio, TX 78229 and/or a charity of one’s choice.
