Bette Marchand Osbourn, a resident of Llano since 1940, coming from San Antonio, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2008 in Llano, at the age of 94.

She was born on September 15, 1914 to Leona (Reeves) and Mr. Marchand in San Antonio. Mrs. Osbourn was married to Eugene “Russell” Osbourn in 1937 in San Antonio, who preceded her in death. She’s also preceded in death by her parents; son, Doyle Osbourn, one sister and four brothers.

Mrs. Osbourn was a member of the Llano Church of Christ and was a swimming instructor in Llano in the 50’s and 60’s and taught many people in Llano.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Osbourn & wife Jana of Llano, Lamar Osbourn & wife Mimi of Odessa, Terry Osbourn & wife Delana of Cleburne; four grandchildren, Britt and Jeff Osbourn, Kim Husdon, and Dawn Vance; four great grandchildren, James Russell Vance, Connor and Garrett Hudson, and Ean Osbourn.

A graveside service was held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Llano City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Llano Church of Christ.
