John Robert Grace, 88, of Buchanan Dam passed away Dec 17, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Kerrville.

John is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marjorie L. Grace.

He is also survived by his two daughters, Carol Moore and husband Ennis (aka Dub) of Kingsland, and Barbara Thomas and her husband Jerry of Garden Grove, Calif..

He has only one surviving sister, Irma Morrey and two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his son, John Paul Grace, 56, who passed away exactly two months before him, on Oct 17, 2008. Both passed away peacefully.

John was born in Altoona, Pa. on Aug 1, 1920. He was one of 13 children born to Harry and Florence Grace.

He was a decorated WWII veteran having served in the United States Navy and an skilled electrician by trade.

He retired and moved to Buchanan Dam where he had resided for the past 36 years until his passing.

Funeral arrangements have beeen entrusted to Kerrville Funeral Home and Life Legacy in hopes that a cure can be found for cancer and other diseases for the future of mankind.

He is now at rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
