Llano Main Street hosted the Llano elementary and kindergarten classes and teachers, Friday, December 19 at the LanTex.Theater. Five Hundred exuberant children enjoyed The Santa Clause 2 on the last day before Christmas vacation. Our compliments to their manners and it was a pleasure to have them.

I am always indebted to our Main Street volunteers who were on hand at 7:30 a.m. to bag popcorn and again at noon for the afternoon performance. Thanks so much to Jo Ann Coston, Mara Dudley, Sharon Keilen, Susan Cox and Kerry Williams, also to city employees, Jo Ann Davis and Ernesto Perez., who helped get the theater ready.

The Christmas Lighting Committee will show Four Christmases at the LanTex Friday, December 26, at 4:30. and 7:30 p.m. and again Saturday, December 27, at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. A very large cast is starring in this zany Christmas comedy. Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn, Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, and John Voight are all a group of unusual relatives with different lifestyles.

Witherspoon and Vaughn are an upscale happily unmarried San Francisco couple whose exotic vacation is spoiled by fog on Christmas morning. They decide to spend the day visiting four different divorced relatives and their festivities. All the couples have unusual lifestyles, making for a wild and crazy day. It has comedy, romance and holiday fun. Come and enjoy this after Christmas treat!

We have two excellent movies scheduled for January. The very popular movie Australia will be shown here January 16 and 17, and Fireproof on January 23 and 24.
