The disturbing graffiti, discovered on Monday, seemed to predict an explosion of some sort four days in the future. A similar message had been discovered earlier this year, and one last year, as well.
Two Commissioners Court races and two Justice of the Peace primary races are contested in the Llano County Republican primary this election cycle. Four people are vying for the Precinct 2 Commissioner’s seat being vacated by retiring Commissioner Henry Parker of Buchanan Dam. Real estate broker Jesse James served as a Comal County Commissioner from 1990 to 1994 where he was involved with budgeting, road construction and building maintenance.
Because the State of Texas uses a “semi-open” primary system, registered voters do not have to declare which party’s primary they will vote in before entering the polling location. Only after a voter identifies himself to the election official at the polls, must a voter request either a Republican or Democratic ballot. Voters may choose which party’s primary they will vote in each year.

A combination of the increased turbidity level of the water coming into the plant and a mechanical failure caused a temporary violation of federal rules on water safety. 11 steals? The official scorekeeper must have just come from writing the jail log! No one gets 11 steals in one game. In 32 minutes? In 32 days? It says here Allie Rostron of the Lady Jackets scored 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and stole the ball 11 times! A triple-double the hardest way and the first triple-double in the last 32 hours or 32 years for a Llano player.

There was a time when Mary Hardin-Baylor was comprised of women only. Now, there aren’t just men at the Waco school’s sibling, the men play football. Why do they think you can help, he was asked during a signing ceremony, February 12.
