Jerry Campbell has filed as a candidate for Llano County Commissioner Precinct 1 in the April 3, 2012 Republican primary.
Campbell and his wife of 32 years, Dala live in Blue Lake Estates in Llano County. They moved there from Lakeway six years ago. “We simply love the Hill Country, specifically Llano County with our beautiful lakes and views, and we want to see our area and our home stay as pristine as it is today,” said Campbell.

The Hill Country Cattlewomen will hold their next regular meeting on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at the Inn of the Hills, 1001 Junction Hwy., Kerrville, Texas. The meeting is being hosted by the Boerne/Comfort area members. We will begin with a social at 10:00 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m., with lunch to follow.

On February 16, LTP is hosting a Chili Dinner fundraiser at the Activities Building of St. James Lutheran Church, 1401 Ford Street in Llano. A donation provides the opportunity to sample an interesting assortment of chilies made with pork, venison, or aoudad. The LCRA Nightengale Archaeological Center (NAC) in Kingsland will host a meeting on April 8, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
Dr. Charles Koenig will present information about his work in the field of plant baking facilities: “On The Burned Rock Trail: Earth Ovens and Land Use in the Lower Pecos Canyon Lands”.
The 2011 Texas State University Lower Pecos Canyon Lands Archaeological Field School was held along Dead Man’s Creek, a tributary of the Devil’s River.

Seriously, though, these students have put in a lot of work rehearsing for this Variety Show. Fashioned after the popular TV show, “America’s Got Talent”, the students will compete for four judges.
