Llano Memorial Hospice is seeking volunteers to help serve patients. In order to meet government guidelines, volunteer hours must equal at least five percent of paid staff patient hours. On that note, Llano Memorial Hospice program is looking for men and women interesting in spending some time each week to help reach that goal. Some duties include, visiting with patients for an hour or so, running errands, reading to patients, or walking a patient’s pet. Volunteers, who are not comfortable visiting with patients can help in other ways, such as sewing or crocheting, play a musical instrument, or any other special talent can be used. The Llano Hospice program provides support and care for people in the last phases of incurable disease, so they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. |

The Llano County Historical Commission is sponsoring a photo display that will be held in our historic courthouse Oct. 18, the day of the Heritage Day Festival. Everyone has pictures that were taken through the years of a house, building, or someplace special that brings back memories. Think of the many places in Llano County that have been completely remodeled, or demolished that were captured on film and hidden away in a scrapbook. |
