St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Parish Hall will be the scene for culinary and visual festivities starting Friday, December 5 in Mason, Texas. Be alerted that this event normally takes place at the Eckert Center but has been moved to the Parish Hall for 2014. On the 5th from 5:00 -8:00 p.m.

Llano, Texas -The Llano County Historical Museum will host an open house on Saturday, December 6, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring “Western Trappings on the Llano.” This 79 day show and sale extends through January 4, 2015. The public is invited to experience the finest in original western art, custom trappings, and gear, created by internationally recognized western artists.

STAR Republican Women are celebrating the Christmas Holidays with a fabulous luncheon on December 9, 11am, at the Horseshoe Bay Yacht Club. Tom & Patsy were married on August 22, 1964 in Nocona, TX.  They have lived in Llano for the past 22 years.  Both Tom and Patsy retired from Llano I.S.D. where Patsy was an Elementary School Teacher and Tom was the Jr. High Principal.  They are parents to Don Henderson, Deena Lenertz, and Cynthia Pack.  They also have 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Captain Dustin Durst has graduated from George Washington University in Washington D.C. with a master’s degree in Professional Studies in Legislative Affairs.
