Kirstie Lawren Heidle, daughter of Bill and Tobie Hubble of Llano, Texas graduated with honors from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas in December of 2013. She was on the Dean’s List numerous semesters throughout her college career. Kirstie graduated from Llano High School in 2011. She received a double Bachelors Degree of Science, Sociology and Psychology and now is working in New Braunfels, Texas for a communications company.

Joel and Elizabeth Ratliff are happy to announce the birth of their son Conner Dale Ratliff on March 19, 2014.  He was born at home in Cherokee, weighed 8 lb 9 oz., and was 21 inches long.  He is named after his maternal grandmother, Connie Perry, and late grandfather Dale Perry.  His paternal grandparents are Bobby and Pat Ratliff of Babyhead.  He was welcomed by proud older siblings, Garrett, Erin, Patrick, and Olivia.

Mr. and Mrs. James Taylor Virdell, Sr. of Llano, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on April 5, 2014. On Thurday, March 27, the Highland Lakes Democratic Women welcomed their members and guests to their monthly luncheon at Hidden Falls Restaurant in Meadowlakes. The crowd was captured by this month’s guest, David Weinberg.
