Wilbur Lloyd “Bill” Harlan, passed peacefully in his sleep on October 7, 2014, at 94 years old.  He was born in Houston on February 16, 1920 to Charles T. Harlan and Mary Elizabeth Brown Harlan. Bill served in the US Navy in WWII in the Aleutian Islands as a radioman in a PBY sub hunter, rescue plane.  He had to ‘work’ to enlist as he was too tall to enlist at six foot six and 1/2 in.  Squadron 143 was rushed to Alaska to stop the Japanese island hopping in the Battle of the Aleutia ...

Sherman Ross “Buddy” Holt, III, 66, Of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma died suddenly on Saturday, October 4, 2014. He was born in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Sherman Ross Holt, Jr. and Alice Lowe Holt Lincoln on November 20, 1947. Buddy was an avid fisherman and lived most of his life in Texas. Howard D. Reed, 76, of Kingsland, Texas formerly of Midland, Texas passed away on August 7, 2014. He was born to James Moody and Sarah Lee (Taylor) Reed on November 16, 1937 in Aspermont, Texas. Howard proudly served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1965. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Midland, Texas and the N.R.A.

Michael Dean “Mike” Holbrook, 56, of Granite Shoals, Texas, passed away on September 12, 2014. He was born to Dean and Mary Viola (McKillip) Holbrook in Monahans, Texas on February 26, 1958. Mike was an avid motorcycle rider and drove race cars. He operated a motorcycle repair business in Granite Shoals.

Sheeda lived most of her adult life in Midland Texas where she met and married her soulmate, Wiley Balkum. Sheeda was a very kind and caring person who had no enemies.

Douglas Howell Hart, 53, of Granite Shoals, Texas passed away on September 2, 2014. He was a son of Orville and Syble Verdene (Bingham) Hart born on November 7, 1960 in Burnet, Texas. Douglas was a man of many jobs but his longest was being a maintenance person. In his spare time he enjoyed all types of sports, especially football, also singing to karaoke.
